Information backup
Backup copies of information, software and systems are maintained and regularly tested in line with an agreed policy.
What an assessor looks for
Testing is the tested part. Show restore tests at meaningful scale, their results, and immutability or offline protection against ransomware.
Where it usually fails
Backups run successfully and restores have only ever been tested on a single file, so recovery capability at scale is unknown.
